Shotts and Dykehead and the Drum Salute of the Week

Here’s another one from the pipe band world. It’s Shotts’ drum corps doing their awesome 2007 drum fanfare. Their lead, Jim Kilpatrick is one of the most amazing drummers on the planet.

For one, the video description is actually accurate:

This video was shot a day before the Worlds 2007 when Shotts and Dykehead had their public rehearsal at Strathclyde University Glasgow. It shows the musicality and innovation of the Drum Corps of Shotts and Dykehead feat. Jim Kilpatrick and Tyler Fry

The back sticking around 1:55 is awesome, as is the tenor thing around 5:30 and 6:05. The stick tossing at 7:05 is beyond wicked. Ok. I’m done.

By the time this goes live, I’ll be on my way to spend the day near Vancouver/Abbotsford. Have a great long weekend!
