It’s been almost two years since I started this blog, and it’s high time for a redesign!
If you’re a regular reader (or get my email updates or RSS) you may notice things changing quite a bit over the next week or two. If you see something you like or dislike, please leave a comment. If there’s stuff on other sites you like, leave a comment and I’ll check it out.
For now I’ve switched things to the Thesis WordPress Theme, a theme which has a lot of flexibility, and I’m using it for several other projects too. As usual, this blog is the test bed for my other SEO and webdesign projects.
I’m also considering reversing my previous stance against advertising. Anyone have strong thoughts one way or the other? Are you interested in advertising?
That’s all! It’s a sunny weekend in Ireland and there’s a big football (Irish Soccer) match on today!

Chris,
How are you finding the Thesis WordPress Theme?
I see it advertised in a number of places.
I only recently moved my blog over from blogger.com to WordPress, and am keeping quite busy trying to learn the ins and outs of WordPress.
I would be interested to hear what your thoughts are on having direct advertising on your blog. I notice that you have a number of indirect links, but nothing direct, at least that has been my observations.
What are your feeling on the topic of advertising now? Do you think your readers will accept it or reject it?
Regards,
Neil.
Chris
I’m still a believer of minimal advertising because it distracts visitors from your real purpose. Also, you never make as much off of AdSense as you think you will unless you’re very high traffic and also very good as optimizing it.
I’m a huge fan of WordPress, and Thesis has been great thus far. There are other good themes, but Thesis has been excellent.
